Welcome To Stelle County

Stelle County is located in Tyler Hall of the West Wing Dormitories of the Eastern Illinois Campus. Within Stelle County there are four operating city governments: Applequist, Corbett, Mathers, and Watkins.

Boys State is an experience that teaches young men the workings of the Illinois State Government through example and through practice. Participants take part in elections at city, county, and state levels. Aside from the elections, Boys State citizens are able to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities, such as band and militia.

The 2002 session of Boys State was held on the Eastern Illinois University Campus from June 8-14.
