Position: Assistant Professor in Kinesiology and Sports Studies (Sport Management) – two tenure track positions available.
Responsibilities: The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management and/or sport psychology within the department. Teaching assignments will vary based on the individual candidate’s experience, scholarly interests, and department needs. Candidates are expected to develop and maintain a focused area of scholarship that involves graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates are also expected to participate in service initiatives that provide a substantive benefit to Eastern Illinois University, the College of Education and Professional Studies, and the Department of Kinesiology and Sports Studies.
Qualifications: Doctorate or ABD in Sport Management/Sport Psychology/or a related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with University teaching experience and experience working in the sport industry.
Starting Date: August 16, 2014
