Position: 9-month Tenured Track/Annually Contracted Faculty Position in Construction at Assistant Professor/Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach courses in the areas of Construction including but not limited to: Construction Equipment & Materials, Architectural Drafting, Cost Estimating, Project Management, Mechanical Systems of Buildings, Statics and Strength of Materials, Sustainable Buildings, and Land Development/Surveying. Develop and teach courses in use of automated systems in construction, energy efficiency, LEED, BIM, and other emerging areas, as appropriate. Pursue grant-writing and conduct applied research. Serve on school, college, campus, community, and professional association committees; and network with the construction industry. Work collaboratively with the Center for Clean Energy Research and Education (CENCERE).
Qualifications: Doctorate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Technology Management, or similar field from a regionally accredited university required for tenure-track appointment; a master's degree and coursework toward a doctorate required for an annually contracted position. Significant professional experience in the construction industry is required. Professional Engineering license and/or other professional credentials (e.g. LEED accreditation) preferred. The successful candidate with have excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding teaching abilities.
