  Personnel Authorization Request (Form A)
  Recruitment Plan (Form B) with a Vacancy Announcement forwarded to the Civil Rights Office. The Chair/Unit Head is responsible for developing a recruitment plan that encourages the formation of a large, diverse, highly qualified applicant pool.
  Finalize screening committee membership
  Place advertisements in appropriate sources
  Place vacancy announcement in University Newsletter

  •   Submission of Candidate Selection Form C (List specific reasons reserve candidates less competitive. Forward "Required Applicant Tracking" spreadsheet to civil@eiu.edu.) The Chair/Unit Head must consider whether the candidate pool is of insufficient quality, size, or diversity to move forward with interviews.
      Schedule interviews of candidates
      Where applicable, post interview schedule in University Newsletter or notify campus by other means.
      Request for Reimbursement of Candidate Expense Forms submitted
      Submission of Request to Offer Appointment Form D (Attach brief narrative listing persons interviewed. Briefly explain in comparison to the person recommended for employment, how each of the others interviewed was less of an appropriate or competitive match for the position.)
      Notify selected candidate that he or she will be required to complete I-9 form in Human Resources during first three days on contract
      Notification of unsuccessful candidates
      Notification of moving expense reimbursement policy
      Save files for 5 years
