Purpose

The Civil Service Council's purpose is to provide advisory counsel to the administration and the Employee Advisory Committee representative of the University Civil Service Merit Board regarding the general interest and welfare of non-negotiated civil service employees.  We also review and make recommendations to the University regarding personnel matters involving Non-Negotiated Civil Service Employees.

Attention

We are looking for:

  • 2 representatives and 1 alternate representative (1 year position) from District I (President's Area, VPAA, UPUA)
  • 4 representative and 1 alternate representative (2 year position) from District II (VPBA)
  • 1 representative and 1 alternate representative (1 year position) from District III (VPSA)

Elections are open to EIU employees who meet the following criteria: 1) permanent non-negotiated; 2) continuous non-union; 3) non-academic employee; and 4) not an off-campus contract appointment. Nomination forms are available here and can be submitted to the Council at any time via campus mail to Angie Campbell, Student Insurance or fax to 581-7507 no later than May 6, 2016.  If you have any questions, please email arcampbell@eiu.edu or call 581-5299.  Our General Election will be held on May 31, 2016.
