Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:

Regular Version:

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1 bag large marshmallows (or 5 cups small marshmallows)

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

 

Modified Recipe: Increased Fiber Version:

3 Cups Rice Krispies cereal

3 cups All Bran cereal

1 bag large marshmallows (or 5 cups small marshmallows)

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

 

 

 

Preparation:

1.  Mix the Rice Krispies cereal and the All Bran cereal together in a large bowl.

2.  Melt marshmallows and margarine until completely melted and smooth. This may be done on the stovetop, or in the microwave.  Stir very frequently throughout the melting process.

3.  Pour the melted marshmallow and margarine mixture into the bowl of mixed cereal and stir until completely mixed in with the cereal.

4.  Pour the mixture into a pan and let cool.
