Mission Statement

The mission of the Criminology Minor is to expose students to issues associated with law enforcement conceived broadly, and to provide an understanding of the role of law enforcement in a culturally diverse democratic society. The interdisciplinary program offers courses from a variety of departments including Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, Psychology, and Business. Students in the Criminology Minor may concentrate on either criminal justice or criminal administration, as they prepare for further opportunities in both academic and professional pursuits.
