Booth Library has a number of initiatives in place for resource and instruction support for the study of renewable energy. Several faculty members have successfully obtained a combined total of ~$4,500 in Redden grants for the purchase of books related to biomass, renewable energy, etc.
Included among these materials are multiple books directly related to biomass energy production. These have been placed on reserve for all classes.
"Renewable Energy" has been added as a new subject page, giving patrons centralized access to databases, books, websites and more. Library faculty have also created a new research guide for same.
At the direction of Jocelyn Tipton, library instruction support for interdisciplinary study of renewable energy has been put into place, and library faculty Todd Bruns, Kirstin Duffin, and Janice Derr are exploring funding opportunities for possible subscriptions to appropriate journals such as Fuels and Biomass and Bioenergy Technology.
