In this session, participants will learn what rubrics are and the general benefits of incorporating rubrics in assessment. During this session we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to use the tools and functions available in the Baseline site to review your data. Even if you haven’t collected data yet, it is helpful to know how you will use the data when you are still in the assessment planning stages. Participants will learn how to create and customize graphs, apply filters to view subsets of data, create saved views of data, export data, and set up comparison reports of data across time, between groups or programs, or before and after an intervention.

Assessing Learning Outcomes

The process of assessing learning outcomes can be particularly intimidating to those who have not attempted to measure student learning outcomes in previous assessment efforts. With some understanding and practice, however, learning outcomes assessment can feel less stressful and prove incredibly beneficial to your planning process. During this webinar, participants will be exposed to the practice of assessing learning outcomes. We will discuss strategies for measuring learning as it relates to the level of learning from the student, identify how to select a method of assessment, and provide best practice examples for utilizing specific assessment methods in order to understand whether learning has and the extent to which it has occurred.
