Cesar Chavez's Timeline
 
 
 
1927- Cesar Chavez was born in Yuma, Arizona.
1942- He became a full time migrant farm worker after the 8th grade.
1944- He fought in WWII.
1962- Co-founded the United Farm Workers Association with Delores Huerta.
1965- Boycotted grape growers in California for 5years.
1968- Went on a 25 day fast to gain national support.
1988- Went on a 36 day fast to protest the use of pesticides being used near farm workers.
1993- Died April 23rd.
1994- His family received the Presidential Medal of Freedom on his behave.
