Shoshone Indians
were
important to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The Shoshones had
Horses that were
vital to
crossing the
Onward with
their
exploration. The only woman who traveled with the Corps was a Shoshone
woman
named
Sacagawea.
Sacagawea knew
which berries and roots were safe to eat. This knowledge was very
Helpful in the
survival of
the corps when crossing the
Once the corps
found the
Continental Divide it was easy sailing to the
New doors for
future
generations to have an opportunity for a new life and exciting
adventures.
Expeditions like
the one
the corps did couldn’t have been successful without the help from
different
tribes.
