In addition to leading the faculty during convocation ceremonies in the Fall, the Faculty Laureate will present an address during that ceremony, welcoming Eastern's incoming students to the concept of general education and its importance; receive a $500 stipend; be profiled in a variety of student publications; and have the opportunity to represent the faculty on student committees.
