High
school and college can be some of the best times
of your life. These years are a time to grow,
find out who you are and how you can reach your
potential. For hundreds of thousands of students,
Greek life can make this experience one of the
best times of your life.
Greek organizations have been an integral part
of Higher Education since 1888. For over one hundred
years, the Greek community has continually striven
for academic excellence and a strong community
spirit. The Greek system provides an endless array
of leadership opportunities, which provide new
perspectives, and opportunities to grow and enrich
your self. The friendships made will last a lifetime
and will provide you lifelong happiness, support,
and opportunities.

Community
Service
Members of Greek organizations firmly believe
in the value of campus and community involvement.
This is exemplified by the many philanthropic
projects and services offered throughout the year.
Each chapter sponsors a philanthropic project
during the academic year that supports agencies
in the area and nationwide. These activities help
strengthen the relations between the university
and the community, and create opportunities for
Greek members to provide needed services that
may otherwise not be available. Members also participate
in Greek sponsored community service programs
such as blood drives, Greek community service
days, and food drives.

Scholarship
The Greek community continually strives to maintain
high academic standards for their members. As
a result, the Greek GPA consistently remains above
the all campus average.
The
Greek community helps its members reach their
academic goals by providing programs that ensure
and assist academic success. Programs include
study sessions, tutoring, educational programs,
and awards. Additionally, national organizations
and/or alumni groups support Greek scholarship.

Leadership
Membership in a Greek organization is one of the
best ways to discover and refine leadership skills.
Within each chapter, members may assume a variety
of leadership roles. Experiences range from serving
as committee members and committee chairs to executive
council officers.
Greek
men and women are also encouraged to hold leadership
positions in other campus organizations. For this
reason Greek members maintain a substantial presence
in nearly every student organization on campus,
often serving in the key leadership roles.

Social
Life
Social activities offer undergraduates a relaxing
break from the daily routine of studying and working.
These social activities offer many opportunities
for strong friendship with peers, alumni, and
others connected with the community.
