Field Trips
Each year, EIU-AMA tries going on at least two field trips. These field trips help our members get a feel for what a career in Marketing is like in the real world and gain insight from Marketing professionals.
During the Fall 2009 semester, our members took a trip to Landshire Sandwich Company and Manufacturing Factory in Belleville, Illinois. While touring the factory and building, members were shown actual packaging and branding materials used by the copmany. We were also given the opportunity to see the process of how the bread for the sandwiches is baked.
During that same semester, we also took a trip to Multi-Ad in Peoria, Illinois. Multi-Ad is a nationally-known company dedicated to making advertising and marketing more effective and cost efficient. While touring the offices and factory, we were able to get a glimpse of what it is like to work for a company that actually designs, produces and sells a multitude of various marketing materials. Our members were very impressed with this company and look forward to going back!
