EIU's Macintosh user's group does not have a "specific" meeting time. Since the group includes faculty, support staff and other members of the university community, all with different work schedules, the group uses a floating meeting schedule so that members have a greater opportinity to attend a meeting. Meetings times and locations will be posted on this page.

The group held its first "official" meeting on Feb. 5, 2003, about two weeks after a group of graphics oriented Macintosh users met to discuss issues they face. The group that met that February day was small and consisted of key people invited from departments on campus who discussed ideas about a MUG. Attendance for the March meeting grew to nearly 30 people. The monthly meetings continue to be well attended.
