ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
STUDENT TAILGATING ACTIVITIES

 

Tailgating is permitted prior to home football games to provide social opportunities for small, private groups and to encourage attendance at the game.  Tailgating will be allowed in the area west of O'Brien Field.

 

The following regulations apply:

1. Tailgate activities are limited to the period between three hours before game time and fifteen minutes prior to the start of the game, i.e.:

1:30 p.m. game - 10:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.
1:00 p.m. game - 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
6:30 p.m. game - 3:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.

2. Students must be twenty-one years of age and possess a valid student identification card.

3. Only students enrolled at Eastern Illinois University are permitted to bring pony kegs (large kegs are not permitted). Large receptacles designed to hold multiple individual servings shall not be permitted.

University police will enforce the twenty-one-year-old minimum age requirement and determine game ticket possession.
