Graduation Checklist

The Graduate Committee recommends that you select your committee and have your study plan approved late in your first semester or early in your second semester in the program.  You should have a thesis proposed and underway by midterm of your second semester.

Here are some forms you will need at some time early in your career:

Thesis M.S. Study Plan Form
Thesis M.S. Proposal Form
Internship M.S. Study Plan Form
Internship M.S. Internship Proposal Form


Some Important Dates to remember:

End of first semester in the program
    -  Selection of permanent faculty advisor
    -  Selection of student advisory committee
    -  Submit study plan
    -  Selection of degree option - (Thesis or internship)
    -  Identification of academic deficiencies

No later than three weeks into the second semester in program
    -  Submit thesis proposal form -  (Thesis option only)

End of second semester in the program
    -  Submit internship proposal form (Internship option only)

February 15
    -  Application/reapplication for graduate teaching assistantship

About April 1 (Will be announced)
    -  Application for summer research assistantship

Tenth day of fall or spring semester
    -  Submit application for fall or spring graduation

Fifth day of summer term
    -  Submit application for summer graduation

Seven days before examination
    -  Post notification of Final Examination
