Geiger County is made up of four cities. Below is a brief statement from each Mayor of the city about the events of this week during Premier Boys State.

Besson City

Mayor Mike Gotsch

"Our city has made laws to protect our citizens, and these had helped up. Our sheriff had enforced the law numerous times and has arrested some people. Our fire chief has not needed to put out any fires, but has made fire checks. the clerk has done an excellent job with the minutes. Also the Head of Communications and Treasurer have taken care of the ordering of all food in the city. The City Attorney has been idle, but the Health Commisioner has improved the cleanliness of our city. The city overall has bonded, and we have fun at all of our city meetings."

Lucas City

Mayor Roy Turner

"Lucas city has been running smoothly. The mayor would also like to commend the City Officials and the members of Lucas city for being such ideal citizens."

Merritt City

Mayor James Ruetsche

"We have had a great time in Merritt City. We've all gotten along well and gotten much done. However, we have been overshadowed by the amazing and much more attractive guys we share the fifth floor with - Burns City"

Burns City

Mayor Pat Chesnut

"Burns City has had and eventful week. We hs passed laws restricting bathroom use for sanitary purposed, requiring trespassers to announce their presence and sign in before using our restrooms. We have also established guidelines for roomchecks. Finally, we have rocked the house and, above all else, kept it real."
