 Lucas City is located on the 6th floor of Lawson Hall City Officials State Representative Jon Derkits My name is Jon Derkits and I attend Freud High School in Palatine, IL. At my school I participate in varsity soccer, track and scholastic bowl. In my free time I'm either lifting weights or hanging out with my friends. Much of my time is also spent with my girlfriend Julie. Mayor Brian Wilcoxon I live in a small town called Philo, Illinois. Many people call it "Fife," similar to the character of "Barney" on the Andy Griffith Show. Back home, I make fairly good grades and say the morning announcements at school. I'm in a band called Ample Time that will be playing at the Tuscola Amish Home Cookin' and Good Eaten's Restaurant. I am also a freestyle rapper and perform under the name of B-Money. I'm also in a band called BAEZ (with an "e") with my girlfriend, and my dad loves Ted Nugent, which, consequently was my roommate's last name at Boys State. I LOVE YOU ALL! Clerk Justin Ahlburg I am from Galesburg in West Central IL. In my years at GHS, I've been section leader of my award-winning drumline and have been for 3 years. I was the city clerk for Lucas, which was the same job my father served when he went to Boys State. Be looking for the name Justin Ahlburg as a Marching Illini snare drummer sometime in the future. Treasurer Adam Boing My name is Adam Boing and I am currently the Treasurer of Lucas City. I live in the lovely city of Crest Hill and attend Lockport High School. I am a swimmer and a soccer player. In my freetime I play guitar and like to go to the pool and dive. Currently, I am working as a lifeguard at Chaney Pool in Crest Hill. AND let me tell YOU it is a FUN job. Supervisor Pritesh Patel Born in a suburb of Chicago named Elk Grove Village, moved to Morrison in the summer of 2000. Born on July 24 in the year 1985. Was elected as a junior class rep and also Senior class representative for Studen Council Secretary. Was elected Junior Class from prince for MHS Prom 2002. Will be entering in medicine for a career. Supervisor Jason Ayran I reside in Granite City. I am President of St. Elizabeth Church Youth Group. I am in such clubs as SADD, NHS, hockey, and foreign language. I played basketball freshmen and soph year. I played golf. I have 4.93 GPA on a 5 scale and am 42 of 459 in my class. Ward 1 Alderman Watson McKee I'm all about kick'n it. Kick'n with a Tasty Groove. That is! If you have ever heard Tenacious K's Kick It with a Tasty Groove you know what I mean. That's what I did while I was at Boys State. So when I say KICK IT, you just kick it with a Tasty Groove Brotha. Ward 2 Alderman Shane Dixon Back in Dixon, Illinois, I am a very active student. I participate in varsity golf, wrestling, and baseball. I also play for American Legion Post 12's summer baseball team. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the Math League. I plan to go on to college and get a major in pharmacy. I currently have a 3.53 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale. Premiere Boys State has been a great learning experience and I've made a lot of new friends. I appreciate all of the time the Legion members put into Premiere Boys State. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Ward 3 Alderman Brian Loveless I'm from Havana. I run cross country and play basketball. I am in student council and am an active member of HNS. My future career plans would be either law, flight, or astonautical engineering. I'm planning on attending Purdue University. Go Geiger. Ward 4 Alderman Logan Purdy Hi, my name is Logan Purdy. I go to South Beloit High School in South Beloit, Illinois. I am a three-sport athlete: football, basketball, and baseball. Our football team is predicted to win state this year.
