City Officials State Representative Aaron Gonzalez My name is Aaron Gongaley and I am originally from a small northwestern town called Rock Falls. I am very involved in my community and am a proud member of the IDEA (Illini Drug Education Alliance). I have enjoyed my stay here at Boys State and I will never forget this awesome experience. Mayor Matt Naftzeger I, Matt Naftzeger, reside in Northwestern Illinois in a small town called Morrison. I will also be the student council President in the upcoming school year. I participate in two varsity sports: basketball and baseball. I am currently also in the National Honor Society and my school's Honor Roll. I enjoy music, movies, and hanging out with friends. Clerk Ed Virtis Ed is amazingly busy and couldn't write a bio. Treasurer Josh Gabeheart I play football and baseball. I am from Westville Illinois. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and all shooting sports. Boys State has taught me about government and how to meet people. Supervisor Jeremy Rose In high school, I participated in student council, debate, and other leadership roles. I enjoy hanging out with friends and making new ones. I live in Carol Stream, Illinois. Carol Stream has 45,000 people, and is a suburb of Chicago. I also went to Europe for three weeks last summer. Supervisor Matt Henrich Word, My name is Matt Henorich, I'm from Viola, IL, and I'm a member of the board of county supervisors. You want to know about my life? BAH! Ward 1 Alderman Joel Taylor My name is Joel Taylor. I am from Havana and I attend Havana High School. My interests are basketball and hanging out with friends. I enjoy being Alderman of Ward 1 of Merritt City because I get to vote on all the new ordinances. I also want to say how great this week has been and enjoy the time I've had. Ward 2 Alderman Ryan Synder My name is Ryan Snyder. I am from Gibson City, which is just north of Campaign. I enjoy mostly all sports. I try to go to as many Illini football and basketball games as possible. I plan to major in psychology in college. Ward 3 Alderman Aaron Leach I am from Grant Park, IL it is 50 miles south of Chicago. I like football and work. I work about 80 hours a week. I am a life scout and on my way to eagle. I am a member of Order of the Arrow. Ward 4 Alderman Micah Jefferson I am Micah Jefferson from Loves Park, Illinois. I enjoy basketball, computers, and video games.
