Accommodating Interests and Abilities
Eastern's Office of Civil Rights and Diversity/Title IX Coordinator surveys new freshmen and new transfers as a part of a process required by the U. S. Office for Civil Rights to monitor whether the university is fully accommodating the interests and abilities of the underrepresented sex to compete in intercollegiate athletics.

752 of 790 (95% of the Fall 2011 First-Time Feshmen Female Students)
475 of 568 (84% of the Fall 2011 Female Transfer Students)
2011 Total Females who Completed Survey:
843 of 860 (98% of the Fall 2011 First-Time Feshmen Female Students)
438 of 680 (65% of the Fall 2011 Female Transfer Students)
2010 Total Females who Completed Survey:
771 of 917 (84% of the Fall 2010 First-Time Feshmen Female Students)
243 of 648 (38% of the Fall 2010 Female Transfer Students)
2009 Total Females who Completed Survey:
830 of 1030 (81% of the Fall 2009 Freshman Female Students)
136 of 627 (22% of the Fall 2009 Transfer Female Students)
The Interests and Abilities Survey is administered by the Office of Civil Rights and Diversity. Information related to the total numbers of new freshmen and transfer students is provided by the Office of Planning and Institutional Studies.
