Eastern Illinois University, a Masterís I, regional institution, invites applicants for its Registrar in Enrollment Management. The Registrar is a full-time, 12-month, administrative and professional position reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management in Academic Affairs.  The Registrar has primary responsibility for supervising, coordinating, and administering the programs, activities, and staff associated with the Office of the Registrar. 

Qualifications & Skills:

*Bachelorís degree required; masterís preferred.

*Significant, relevant experience with increasing responsibility in academic policy analysis and administration; student records, including transcripts; registration systems; personnel management; project management, including training, preferably in a public higher education setting.

*Demonstrated ability to collaborate with administrators, deans, faculty, and staff.

*Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA and NCAA regulations.

*Experience working with student data and student information systems, preferably BANNER.

*Experience with budget management.


Duties & Responsibilities:

*Provide leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Office of the Registrar as well as records management and security.

*Oversee the development of the Universityís academic calendar, classroom scheduling function, and final exam schedule.

*Develop and maintain historical data related to registration activities.

*Supervise the late/retroactive withdrawal process as well as approve late withdrawals and authorize refunds for late drops.

*Determine Illinois residency status for students.

*Supervise the NCAA eligibility determination process.

*Serve as FERPA officer for the University.

*Coordinate the collection and dissemination of grades.

*Oversee the development and maintenance of the University transcript.

*Interpret University, state, and federal policies and guidelines regarding academic records.

*Serve as official contact with Information Technology Services and other departments on matters related to the on-line academic record and registration systems (Banner, On-Base, and DARS), including training.

*Oversee the office budget and ensure appropriate use of office resources.

*Oversee the continued development of a comprehensive web presence for the Office of the Registrar.

*Provide leadership in maintaining a diverse, high quality staff through recruitment, retention, and development.

*Represent the Office of the Registrar on various University committees.
