POSITION: Assistant Director for Illinois Higher Education Center
DEPARTMENT: University Health Services

The Assistant Director for the Illinois Higher Education Center for Alcohol, Other Drug, and Violence Prevention will manage and implement statewide alcohol and other drug prevention capacity building activities for colleges and universities which include: planning and delivering trainings, workshops, and webinars on college substance abuse prevention, planning and facilitating in-person and social networking opportunities, responding to technical assistance, and overseeing communications, marketing and public relations efforts. This temporary position begins immediately and ends June 30, 2020. Anticipated annualized salary range is 38K.

Required job qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in health education/promotion, public health, college student affairs, or similar discipline required; master’s degree preferred. Experience in collegiate substance abuse prevention, certification in substance abuse or certified health education specialist preferred. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
