POSITION: Sociology Instructor
DEPARTMENT: Sociology/Anthropology

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Instructor position in Sociology to begin August 16, 2017. The initial contract is for one year, but there is a possibility of renewal based on program need, performance, and budgetary approval. The successful applicant should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in social psychology, gender roles, introductory sociology, and based on her or his expertise contribute to other departmental instructional needs. The standard teaching load for an Instructor is four courses per semester. Ideally we are seeking a colleague with a Ph.D. in Sociology, but ABD candidates will be considered. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
