Welcome!

My name is Tara Puterbaugh; I am the President of the Epsilon Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at Eastern Illinois University. I am an Accounting major in the School of Business. I will be graduating in May of 2019. I rushed Delta Sigma Pi in the Fall of 2015, my freshman year. Delta Sigma Pi has allowed many opportunities to change the way I experience college such as, personal and professional connections, leadership positions and more, to prepare myself to enter the business world in a short few years.

Delta Sigma Pi is America’s foremost co-ed professional fraternity for those seeking to develop a career in the business world. Our fraternity is committed to brotherhood, community service and professional development. Delta Sigma Pi has a strong relationship with the School of Business because we share a common goal of student achieving excellence both in and out of the classroom. EIU’s AACSB Accredited School of Business is very proactive in ensuring that students engage in student organizations from day one. Our members often are a part of multiple student organizations on campus.

Some of our service activities include volunteering at the Animal Shelter in Charleston, IL., campus and highway trash cleanup events, and committing our time to help the less fortunate in the community.  Our professional events have included an annual spring trip to the Scott Trade Center in St. Louis, bringing in speakers from local businesses as well as larger businesses to gain insight of the business world in different aspects, and most recently organizing an etiquette dinner to benefit members from our chapter and two other School of Business RSOs.  Each semester, we attend our fraternity sponsored LEAD conferences. In the past, our members have traveled to St. Louis, Chicago, and Des Moines.  All of our events allow us to form a very strong brotherhood.

Becoming a part of a group like Delta Sigma Pi will be a defining moment in your college career. Our brotherhood is for life; such is the great memories that will be made during your collegiate experience as well as an alumnus of Delta Sigma Pi. Once a brother, you will never feel alone in the School of Business. We are EIU. Go Panthers!

If you have any questions about our chapter or are interested in joining our organization, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any other member on the Executive Committee.

Fraternally,

Tara Puterbaugh
