Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was founded on January 13, 1913 by
twenty-two collegiate women at
After the grand chapter’s incorporation in 1930, Delta Sigma Theta
has progressed into a non-profit organization and with its work in the
international sector was honored with the privilege of becoming a
Non-Governmental Organization with the United Nations in March 2003. Wherein
Delta uses this position to monitor the status of women and children throughout
the world.
Today Delta Sigma Theta Sorority incorporated has over 250,000
member’s world wide; with more than 950 chapters located in the
