Greetings!
Sorors, something exciting happened this summer, at our 44th Midwest Regional Conference in Charleston, West Virginia. Our very own Soror Mona Davenport was elected as the Midwest Member of Scholarship & Standards. She was so happy and THANKFUL to (YOU) our Alumnae and the chapter because this was the first official step toward her bigger dreams. She can’t wait to start working with all eight States (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, West Virginia and Wisconsin) and she is praying she will do a terrific job!
Some of her duties include: Functioning as a judiciary board and serve as an arbitrator when disputes arise between officers, chapters and individual members; Conducting training sessions for regional officers, chapter advisors and membership intake trainers. Recommending to the National Executive Board candidates for Honorary Membership at National Conventions; Approving or recommending action on membership matters disciplining chapters or individuals, upon request of the National President or Regional Director, as prescribed in the ARTICLE XII — DISCIPLINE; Monitoring and investigating, upon request of the National President or Regional Director, all allegations and improprieties related to Membership Intake; Hearing and acting on appeals from Sorors and chapters. Conducting the leadership transition meetings on both the Grand Chapter and Regional levels.
You all see that this will be an eventful time for Mona so please continue to keep her in your prayers because she will definitely be busy! Mona has definitely represented Theta Zeta Chapter well. Mona’s willingness, thoughtfulness, and teachings have empowered us all. Because of you we ALL strive to be better women of DELTA SIGMA THETA!
