Jell-o Cake with Fruit

Ingredients:
1 box yellow
or white cake mix
¼
c unsweetened, light applesauce
1 ¼ c water
3 egg whites
in place of whole eggs
Directions:
Combine
ingredients until mixture is smooth. Pour
into greased and floured pan and bake as directions state on the mix’s
box. Bake and let cool for 10-15
minutes.
While cake is
baking, prepare one box on sugar-free jell-o, any flavor, as directed on
box. DO NOT REFRIDGERATE.
When cake is
slightly cooled, poke holes throughout with fork and pour jell-o over cake.
Refrigerate
cake for at least 1 ½ hours or until ready to serve. To lower fat content, do not add icing. Cover top of cake with fresh fruit.
Nutrition Information:
Fat intake per
slice is reduced to 4 grams.
By avoiding frostingand incorporating a serving or more of fruit per
cake slice, fat and calories are significantly decreased.
