"With the growth of information technology, markets are rarely localized. They are now global. Students in economics (along with all other disciplines) will benefit greatly from Study Abroad because they will be provided the opportunity to experience different cultures and examine the world around them. This experience will look great to potential employers, especially those who operate in global markets. Studying abroad also allows students the chance to get course credit while traveling to exciting destinations in many areas throughout the world – a great example of getting the most “bang for the buck.” Most important, of course, is that studying abroad will enhance a student’s collegiate experience and provide him or her with memories for years to come. I wish that I had been given this opportunity when I was in college!" |
