Academic Program

Córdoba has long been considered one of the most culturally rich cities of Argentina. Córdoba merits that designation because of its literary, musical, and historical value. Not only is Córdoba an important city, but with a population similar to that of San Antonio, it is also the second largest city in Argentina right after the capital, Buenos Aires. An interesting fact about Córdoba is that the geographical center of Argentina is near Córdoba.

See Dr. Vanesa Landrus for more information (vmlandrus@eiu.edu or 581-3890)

Airfare will be arranged by students. The estimated cost of airfare is $1,300. All students need to arrive at the Córdoba International Airport (COR-Ingeniero Aeronautico Ambrosio L.V. Taravella Intl.). For an itinerary with multiple stops flights, it is recommended to have a minimum of 2 to 3 hours wait between connections.

"I honestly am so glad I chose this program. It was life changing in the best of ways. My eyes have been permanently opened to the beautiful and rich culture of not only Argentina, but South America. It was by far the best experience I have ever had in my life. Again, I would reccomend this program to ANY student regardless of his or her level of Spanish proficiency." - Amanda Korduck, Summer 2011 participant.

Once paid, you must print out the receipt and present it to the Argentine immigration officer at the time of entry. The fee is valid for ten years from the date of payment and multiple entries.
