What is GlobaLinks Learning Abroad?
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad is a third-party provider that arranges study abroad programs for students. EIU has a partnership with GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, which means EIU students can participate in their programs and earn EIU credit. With each program, EIU students will pay their study abroad program fees directly to GlobaLinks Learning Abroad. Your EIU student account will only be charged for the $300 EIU study abroad administrative fee. You will not pay EIU tuition or regular fees for the term(s) you are studying abroad.
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad offers study abroad programs in Australia, China, the Czech Republic, England, Fiji, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Wales. How does applying through a third-party provider like GlobaLinks Learning Abroad work?
If you are interested in applying for an GlobaLinks Learning Abroad program, you must fill out the EIU Study Abroad Application Materials and all GlobaLinks Learning Abroad application materials for the program in which you are interested. All GlobaLinks Learning Abroad application materials are located on their web site, and the application can be submitted online. Please make a copy of your online application and turn it in, along with your EIU Application Materials, to the Office of Study Abroad (1207 Blair Hall) by the deadlines listed below.
