Program Highlights
At Massey University, you can choose to study at one of three university campuses: Albany (in Auckland), Palmerston North, and Wellington. Each campus has a distintive feel and offers different opportunities.
Massey describes the Albany campus as "The Innovative Campus". Located in New Zealand's most populous city - Auckland, the Albany campus offers students the opportunity to choose courses from over 70 different subject areas while experiencing the "city of sails." Auckland is a favorite of ocean lovers.
Palmerston North, "The Student City", is located in a city of 75,000 - the smallest of the three campuses. This campus is New Zealand's premiere and largest institution for the life sciences, agricultural, horticultural, and veterinary teaching and research. Albeit much larger than Charleston, Palmerston North is more of a "college town" than the others.
New Zealand's capital, Wellington, is home to Massey's third campus. "The Creative Campus" specializes in the following areas: Communication and Business; Engineering and Technology; Health and Well-being; and Creative Arts. The Wellington campus is also the home of New Zealand's oldest and most distinguished school of design, established in 1886.
 
Academic Programs
Massey University offers courses (called "papers" in NZ) in the following five colleges: College of Business, College of Sciences, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Education, and College of Creative Arts. Student Life
About 41,000 students study at one of Massey University's three campuses, making it the largest institution in the country. Each campus at Massey has different features which appeal to students:
Albany campus
The Albany campus opened in 1993. This modern campus has a new recreation center and unique Spanish-style architecture. For information about student services at Albany, click here. The Albany campus on Auckland's North Shore is a favorite of water lovers. The North Shore features 120 km (about 75 mi.) of coastline and 30 swimming beaches. Auckland's downtown area is not far and offers plenty of shopping, restaurants, and
cultural activities (museums, sporting events, and the arts).
Palmerston North campus
The Palmerston North campus is the largest and oldest of the three. The campus, itself, has two locations, Turitea and Hokowhitu, both renowed for their beauty. "Palmy" is a young person's city with affordable accommodation, great bars, plentiful cafés and restaurants, a multiplex cinema, live theatre and music, indoor/ outdoor swimming pools, shopping, an international airport and much more.
Wellington campus
The Wellington campus was established when the University acquired a world-class School of Design and Conservatorium of Music in a merger with Wellington Polytechnic in 1998. It is a compact city, set between a magnificent harbour and rolling green hills, where shops, exciting galleries and great restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Foreign Entry Requirements
Passport
To enter New Zealand, you must have a valid passport. If you are a U.S. citizen and do not currently have a valid passport, or if your passport will expire during the time you will be overseas, please go to the U.S. State Department web site for information on how to apply for/renew your passport.
Visa
Currently, U.S. Citizens planning to stay in New Zealand for less than 3 months do not need a visa. However, participating in a semester or more at Massey University will require a stay longer than 3 months.
