MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL ON ACADEMIC AFFAIRS 4-27-00
The April 27, 2000 meeting of the Council on Academic Affairs was held at 2:00 p.m. in the Arcola/Tuscola Room.
Members present: Dr. Abebe, Dr. Addison, Dr. Bock, Mr. Brinkmeyer, Dr. Cosbey, Dr. T. Mason,
Ms. McDermott, Dr. Methven, Dr. Owen, and Ms. Rutter, Dr. Shonk,
and Dr. Wohlstein.
Member absent: Dr. Obia.
Staff present: Ms. Herrington-Perry and Mrs. Chancellor, Academic Affairs.
Guests Present: R. Cavanaugh, F. Hohengarten, J. Niziolkiewicz, K. Kohanzo, L. Green, and T. Zuber.
I. Minutes.
The Minutes of April 20, 2000 were approved as published.
Applied Sciences.
III. Agenda item 00-23.
Dr. Shonk moved and Mr. Brinkmeyer seconded the motion to add the following item to the agenda. Voting will be later.
00-23 Proposed Revision of the School of Family and Consumer Sciences Dietetics Curriculum.
IV. Proposed Revision of Health Studies Major, 00-17.
Dr. Cavanaugh, Health Studies, presented the proposal and answered questions of the Council. The motion passed unanimously.
This action approves the following to become effective Fall 2000.
Select nine hours eight to nine hours from: Health Studies 2600, 2900, 3500, 3560, 3910, 4800, 4810, 4820, 4890, 4910.
Total 70 69-70 sem. hrs.
V. Election of Officers, 00-22.
Chair - Dr. Ron Wohlstein by acclamation
Vice Chair - Dr. Doug Bock by acclamation.

Change in catalog description for Business Internship courses: ACC 4275, FIN 4275, AIS 4275, COM 4275, CIS 4275, MGT 4275, and MAR 4275. Present description reads (Ar.-Arr.-3 or 6 or 9 or 12). This should be changed to (Arr.-Arr. 1-12) which will meet the university guidelines of one hour of credit for one week of employment.
