My name is Pauline Matthey and I am a second year graduate student in the Communication Studies Department. My main interest focuses on organizational communication. I have recently been able to take my academic love for the field of communication to prison, where I am investigating the communication dynamics in this particular environment as part of my thesis work. I also am currently working with some inmates on creating a communication course to be implemented at the facility I visit.

I received my B.A. in Communication Studies with a concentration in Organizational Communication from EIU in 2009. Before I came back for more, I worked as a staffing specialist at Manpower. My undergraduate work and my experience off campus have encouraged me to expand my horizons and continue my adventures in grad school.

I am very excited to be serving you as your VP of Administrative Activities on GSAC. I am looking forward to help the graduate students’ body grow closer together and get more involved with our campus and community.
