SUPPORT SERVICES

EIU Online

The purpose of the EIU Online website is to provide our students, faculty, and staff with easy access to the many Internet-based resources provided by the Technology Partners who contribute to making online teaching and learning an effective and rewarding experience at EIU.

The links in the navigation panels offer a variety of "getting started" resources, including an assessment designed to help students ensure that online learning is right for them and a plethora of Support Services designed to make their online learning lives a little easier. EIU Online also lists a number of Technology Training sessions designed to introduce users to new applications and to enrich their expertise.

Online Programs at EIU

EIU offers three degree programs online: the BA in General Studies, the RN-to-BS in Nursing, and the BS in Organizational & Professional Development (formerly COS).

Note: These programs are designed for adult, nontraditional students who already have completed an associate's degree or its equivalent. Students seeking admission to one of these majors are responsible for ensuring that they have met all lower-division and/or general education requirements.

Online Courses

Each semester, EIU offers about 100 courses (from more than 20 different disciplines) online! You can view the complete schedule of online courses on the School of Continuing Education's website.
