The Publication of the
Illinois Philological Association (PIPA) is a peer-reviewed electronic
journal whose purpose is to support the objectives of the Association:
"to promote scholarship and teaching in philological disciplines, especially in the
region of Illinois." To this end, PIPA will consider for publication
articles in all fields that fall within the scope of philology, including studies in
language, literature, linguistics, writing and theory, and articles on pedagogy in all of
these fields. In considering submissions, PIPA will give preference to authors
from Illinois and the immediately surrounding states (Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana,
and Kentucky), though authors from other regions of the United States and parts of the
world are also invited to submit their work. Currently, PIPA is conceived by the Association as a semiannual journal, with one issue, published in the fall, devoted to papers from the annual conference held in the preceding April; the second issue will be published when the editor has received a sufficient body of articles; submissions for the second issue of each year will be accepted on an ongoing basis. See the submission guidelines for further information.
