2014 Annual Conference of the Illinois Political Science Association

Planning is underway for the 2014 IPSA Annual Conference, which this year is being done in partnership with the Illinois Sociology Association.  The conference will take place at Eastern Illinois University (Charleston Illinois) over two days, Friday November 7 and Saturday November 8, to accommodate the programming needs of both of our organizations.  This joint academic venture will feature keynote speakers and conference tracks that will appeal to both political scientists and sociologists.

We now are accepting proposals for participation in the conference, which is open not only to faculty members but also to graduate students and advanced undergraduate students.  Faculty members are invited to present research papers, workshops, and organize roundtable discussions.  Graduate and undergraduate students are invited to present research papers, posters, thesis proposals, etc.

Additional information on conference logistics is forthcoming, and this includes updates on registration processes and very important, the "call for papers" deadline.  In the meantime, be sure to place our conference on the calendar and do not hesitate to get things going by submitting your presentation proposal. Relative to the latter, please note that we now have added an online proposal process for this year's conference, and you can access it directly through a link on this website.
