Paper Two Research Paper on A Contemporary Issue in Your Field Points: 25 Word Count: 2,500 Due: Tuesday, November 15, at the beginning of class Write a well focused (see number 17 in your notes) research paper on a contemporary issue in your field of study (see your notes from your conversation with a professional or academic in your field). Use peer-reviewed, reliable sources (see your notes, especially numbers 16 and 19). If you use an Internet source, please include a thick paragraph in your References / Works Cited entry for the source, detailing why you believe the source is reliable (see numbers 10, 12, and 13 in your notes). Turn in your research record (see number 14 in your notes) with your paper, and turn in photocopies of all sources, with highlights to indicate passages referred to or quoted in your paper. Format: Use the documentation and document style (APA, MLA, etc.) generally used in your field (see your notes). Insert page numbers in all in-text citations, regardless of whether they are absolutely required by the style you are using. Grading: Papers must meet the assignment before I will grade them. While grading, I will follow the standards suggested by Eastern's English Department. A grade of C, D, or F in any individual category will conquer the grade for the paper. |
