Stevenson Tower dormitory is a three-block walk from conference sessions facilities and will be the "launch point" for conference check-in and meals. The high rise building is part of the Lincoln-Stevenson-Douglas dormitory complex shown below. A map to the dorm and conference facilities is located here.
Stevenson Tower (Center)
The north side of the Eastern Illinois University campus is bordered by Lincoln Avenue (Illinois Route 16) so no matter which direction you arrive from you will end up driving east or west on Lincoln Avenue to come to our campus. Use the address 600 Lincoln Avenue with Yahoo driving directions to find general directions to campus. A PDF campus map is here.
If arriving from the east on Lincoln Avenue, move into the left turn lane as you drive past Old Main (it looks like a castle and will be on the left). There is a stop light in front of Old Main. Turn south at the next stop light, which is Fourth Street. Jerry's Pizza is across the Lincoln and Fourth intersection on the southwest corner. See "All arrivals" below.
If arriving from the west on Lincoln Avenue begin counting stop lights at the west edge of Charleston. The fifth stop light is Fourth Street. Jerry's Pizza will be on the right. Turn south on Fourth Street. See "All arrivals" below.
All arrivals: Continue south on Fourth Street to the stop sign at Grant Avenue which is conveniently placed in front of a student bar named Marty's (below). You will be able to see the Lincoln-Stevenson-Douglas dorm complex to the rightacross the intersection. Two parking areas area available. Handicap access to the building is available by turning right at the stop sign and parking in the lot in front of the dorm. The handicap entrance is to the left and behind the stairs leading up to the main entrance. Additional parking is available by continuing south through the intersection at Marty's for about one half block. Take the first right into the parking lot which is located directly behind the dorms. Enter Stevenson through the "back" doors (shown at right). Take the spiral stairs up one level where you will be greeted by conference registration.

There will be signs posted in Stevenson Tower to assist you. All registration and room check in will be at tables located in the main level lounge of Stevenson. Conference attendees do not need to check in at the dorm's main desk. |
