Lansford Noyes, of Co I, 54 Ill. N – on his oath says. I was in Charleston on Monday the 28th day of March A.D. 1864, I was at the West side of the Court House in said town at the time the riot commenced, saw several men shooting at the soldiers and among them I saw Dick Robinson, who is a large man with large whiskers, shoot several times at the soldiers, I was wounded in the back. I think I should recognize the man who shot me, but do not know his name.
