Kids' Parade

    During the Great Depression and World War II, having a parade was a good way to entertain the children.  One of the favorite types to have during the 1930's and 1940's, in Mattoon, was a "Pet Parade"
 

Shown here proceeding down Broadway to Lawson Park is some local families and their pets.
