Teaching and Marketing Nutrition
Course
Description
Plan, market, implement, and evaluate a nutrition education program for an identified community group. Prerequisites: FCS 4750 and FCS 3756.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. perform
in accordance with the Code of Ethics for the Profession of Dietetics.
2. develop and review educational materials for target populations.
3. plan, develop, market, implement, and evaluate a community-based health promotion/disease
prevention program.
4. use current technologies for information and communication activities to
link nutrition education research, practice and public policy.
5. describe the role of media in nutrition education and promotion.
