Dear Prospective Graduate Student:
The School of Family and Consumer Sciences is currently accepting applications for graduate assistantships for the 2013-2014 academic year beginning December 1, 2012. The deadline for materials to be received to complete the application file is February 15, 2013. We will continue to review applications until the positions are filled. The requirements are that the applicant must have applied to the Graduate School at EIU, have a minimum of 2.75 GPA, and be pursuing the Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences degree.
The listing of the types of assistantships will give you an idea about the areas of focus, interests and abilities required for specific assistantships. If you choose to apply for an assistantship the Application Directions will provide information about the items to be included in your application file. You will need to do the following:
Submit an application for admission to the MS in FCS Program to The Graduate School. https://www.eiu.edu/myeiu/register.php?type=3&skip=1.
Submit the on-line Graduate Assistantship Application: https://www.eiu.edu/graduate/GAapplication/GAappl.php.
Complete the other requirements listed in the Application Checklist including two Recommendation Forms.
