Recycling
NRHH provides large blue bins for the on campus residents to deposit their used aluminum cans and #1 plastic. The bags of the bottles and cans are placed out at predetermined places for the NRHH members to pick up every Monday and Thursday after 8pm. The cans and bottles are processed for a monetary value at a later time. The money is used for scholarships given by RHA and NRHH. The residence hall with the most bags of cans and bottles per month receive a $100 award towards their hall improvement fund.
Magnets
NRHH has decided to attempt to lessen energy use in the residence halls. One way we have done this is by making magnets to place around every light switch within residents’ rooms. They remind residents to turn off lights when not in use.
