Database Backup and Recovery

Database backup and recovery are very important tasks a database administrator (DBA) has be able to perform. Due to the scope of this course, we will not be able to devote vast amount of time on the subject. We will touch only the basic concepts for database backup and recovery.

The required reading for this chapter will be the database backup and recovery concept, which is provided by Oracle Technology Network. The concept will only serve as a beginning for our understanding. Further reading and research are recommended if your job requires the skill and knowledge.
