December 11, 2006 As the semester wraps up, we send four members to graduation and two off to student teach. Over the past semester, we have added two members, Matt Byrnes and Ashley Ruark. Matt will be President for the spring 2007 semester. Tara Robinson will continue her duties as Vice-President. Andrew Reinert will continue Treasurer/Secretary. We finished our regional project, so this year's competition is coming to an end. For our fall social, we went bowling, where president elect Matt Byrnes blew the competition away. We look forward to developing our projects for the competition year 2007. Have a great winter break. April 26, 2006 Wow, the semester really flew by. First, we finished 9th in the 2005 National Pi Omega Pi Competition. This is an improvement from 10th place during the 2004 competition year. Next, we are finished with our Member Directory which will serve as our local project. The directory lists every Pi Omega Pi member that the Alpha Chi Chapter has ever had. The total number is 955 and counting! It is published on our website here. We also finished our National Project which is an activity for students to create a personal budget. That can also be found online in the resource section. Finally, much of our chapter will be student teaching next semester. As a result, we have elected new members. President: Andrew Brown, Vice-President: Tara Robinson, and Webmaster/Treasurer: Andrew Reinert. Have a great and safe summer.
