Glacurh Conference Information
Thanks for your interest in attending GLACURH!
Here is some general info you should know:
IRHA stands for Illinois Residence Hall Association. Every year, they hold a leadership conference for student leaders in the state of Illinois. It is a great opportunity to grow as a leader, bring back ideas for you residence hall, and make new friends at EIU and other universities in the state.
The conference will be held at Western Illinois University this year. It will take place February 8-10, 2013. The theme of the conference is Where the Wild Things Are.
Applications will be due November 15, 2012 at 11:59 pm. If we like your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview. The interview will be a short, 15 minute informal interview to get to know your personality better and see how you would fit with the delegation. Once interviews are over, delegates will be chosen to represent EIU at the conference. Decisions will be made December 5, 2012.
We will have a weekly meeting with all delegates. These meetings will last two hours. One meeting will take place before classes end for winter break. The rest of the meetings will be once we return in January. Please be able and willing to commit to these weekly meetings. Each delegate will be a part of a subcommittee to work on various tasks in preparation for the conference.
Remember, applications are due November 15, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact us.
