Leyden note:
This is a letter i wrote to a company in which i have invested $$$$$. I sure wish they would start paying dividends and bonuses and $$$ -- but the "product" of my economic speculation is ENZYMES -- and the testing and testing and testing they must do before they "prove" that these enzymes 'work' -- takes so much time. Dang it --- i wish science was "fast."

dear daleco --

thanx for today's update on the progress of Neozyme. Hopefully, the long wait will soon be over and our product will explode into many markets.

as a science education professor, it is interesting for me to view the laborious, tedious, time-consuming process that "science" embodies. The tests and re-testing and skeptical eye that scans the experimental data are the processes by which science matures. You can't accelerate Mother Nature -- and an "unproven" product doesn't sell.

my son is the Legislative Director for California Congressman, Al McClandless (R-Orange County) and often works on military matters.
( Note: Orange County is where this company is located -- and where the Navy is located )

When I e-mailed him the data about the savings BILGE CLEANER offers, he volleyed the enclosed message back to me.

to wit:
". . .the Navy has 13 (aircraft) carriers and your BILGE CLEANER would save $50,000 / DAY per carrier. Instead of spending $70,000 / day the Daleco product would "only cost" $20,000."

As the saying goes --
"such a deal i make for you . . ."

keep up the good work and growth . . . and patience.

sincerely,

Students --- what is a BILGE -- why must it be cleaned ?
What does this have to do with S-T-S curricula ?
