0ption 7: anti-inquiry teaching gets some votes
turning back the clock -- stressing product over process
as with some of the articles in the curriculum folder, these
are OLD ... but they say the same things critics will always
say about "inquiry" or "hands-on science" and why such approaches are detrimental to a child's cognitive growth and the deterioration of society.
most of the anti-inquiry discussion involves a program known
as TSM -- Time / Space / Matter -- sometimes called
The Princeton Project -- a look at the world for 7th graders.
Secure a sample of their "nine textbooks" and TE from dr. leyden.
Note that the "book" is all pictures -- no reading.
That means non-readers could "study" TSM. Examine the teacher's
guide
how well would you do teaching a program without "questions at the end of the chapter?"

on my own:
find two 1990's articles that decry the "freedom" kids have and urge a
return to "basic values and curriculua."
start the search: is there a journal for "home schooling" / christian
education / etc.
what does former secretary of education -- Willaim Bennett have to say about "curricula" ( a lot ! )
