South Africa Study Abroad

Recruitment for the Fall 2016 South Africa program has closed. A shout-out to the courageous students who made every last-minute effort to see the program go, although we fell short of the required enrollment.

Who:
Family Services, undergraduates and MS in FCS graduate students

What:
  • Experience international education in a format which allows YOU to complete a full semester (up to 15 hrs.) of required and elective coursework that fits seamlessly in YOUR family services option program of study at the undergraduate level.
  • See international human services programs firsthand.
  • Observe social and family structures in urban and rural settings in conjunction with course assignments.
  • Complete your internship.

Where:
Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Chintsa in South Africa

How:
Plan a semester of coursework with Mrs. Bradley from among the courses listed. Graduate students see Dr. Murphy for advisement. Student loans and some financial aid grants can be used for study abroad.
